I started my shop in early 2008, after my sister Monica found out she was pregnant with her third baby. We had been partners, selling children's clothing, and I loved it. Pregnancy was taking it's toll on her, and she just didn't have the energy to sew anymore. The problem was that she was the seamstress, and I handled the customer service part of our little business.

I really wanted to continue, but had no idea how to sew. Monica told me there was nothing to it (not true)! She gave me a lesson, her trusty Kenmore sewing machine, and told me to go for it. I did, and here I am six years later, still plugging along, and loving it.

I made the switch to home decor, from children's clothing, because I've always loved decorating, and find lots of inspiration in the way people decorate their homes. I also love to bake, so I spend a lot of time in the kitchen...washing dishes, and using dish towels.

I know that making the place you live "home," is sometimes tough. You might find it hard to be inspired by something, or there might only be a tiny bit of money in your budget available to spruce things up. A new towel, a pretty pillow, or a new set of placemats will give you the best bang for your buck, making your home, a happy place.
